Job Title: Operations Engineer (1)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education requirement: BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Ideal education requirement: BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum professional license: Registered Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
  • Ideal professional license: Professional Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
  • Minimum work experience: Three (3) to five (5) years supervisory capacity in a powerplant

Business Function Overview:

  • Supervise the plant during shift hours for safe, efficient and smooth operation taking care of load demand.
  • Analyze plant operating parameters.
  • Identify abnormal parameters, predict potential faults and report/propose the remedial action to SSE.
  • Participate in fault investigation and propose remedial measures.
  • Follow-up and supervise execution of periodic checks & stand-by changeover at the plant.
  • Assist Operations Section Head in enhancing plant knowledge of the shift team and in appropriate management of resources.
  • Ensure department’s adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),
  • Integrated Management System (IMS) Procedures and Company Policies. Review, improve and update SOPs and IMS procedures to meet emerging needs.
  • Evaluate root cause and failure analysis report and investigations for accuracy and for information dissemination to the department.
  • Ensure department’s maintenance schedules are met and activities are properly accomplished.
  • Validate operational reports i. e. daily performance reports, abnormality reports, monthly operational reports, etc.
  • Promotes and participates actively in the Company’s QESH programs, projects and activities.
  • Perform other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time.



Job Title: Treasury Staff (1)

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management or any related course
  • At least 3 years' working experience in Accounting, Finance and Treasury related environment

Business Function Overview:

  • Handle collections and issuance of receipts
  • Process disbursements and monitor payees' issued ORs
  • Handle the petty cash fund for site office operations
  • Oversee the bank reconciliation process and timely submission of final report
  • Coordinate resolution and adjust entries of reconciling items
  • Prepare daily cash balance report, bank instructions, and funding requests
  • Prepare and analyze cash position and cash movement report
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the department



Job Title: Business Support Staff (1)

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any four-year course
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience

Business Function Overview:

  • Provide administrative support for relevant tasks required by the operation, in relation to information management, document control and verification and fulfilment of day to day needs of the Terminal (stationery, cleaning services, catering services, etc.)
  • Manage, support, and document the accounting processes related to the customer and suppliers.
  • Coordinate deliveries and mail service. Search for suppliers, audit and support the suppliers’ approval processes.
  • Support the elaboration of corporate reports and presentations.



Job Title: QESH Specialist (1)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education requirement:
  • Graduate of related course preferably engineering

Ideal education requirement:

  • A degree in health and safety-related courses
  • Preferably, an accredited Safety Practitioner

Minimum experience:

  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in quality, environmental, safety and health (QESH) management system.

Ideal work experience:

  • Must be able to demonstrate technical skills, leadership and commitment to QESH.
  • A thorough knowledge of QESH principles as applied to a power generation station.
  • Technical experience that demonstrates knowledge of environmental laws and regulations and its application to the plant operations

Business Function Overview:

Coordinates with Corporate QESH and ensures alignment with its ESH Management System requirements, including ESH strategies, objectives and targets related to the following:

  • Risk Assessment and Management
  • Permit to Work
  • Contractor Environment, Safety and Health Management
  • Emergency Management (Preparedness and Response)
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation
  • Compliance Assurance
  • Prepare and review the Company’s policies and standards on Occupational Safety and Health requirements to be consistent with the Company's goals and objectives; to conform with national and international standards; and to comply with lenders and local regulatory requirements
  • Provides site level QESH support and expertise in the consistent execution and monitoring of ESH plans and programs
  • Presides the site’s monthly ESH Committee Meeting
  • Monitors and ensures effective implementation of the Safe Work Practices on all work activities at the site
  • Review and recommend changes to the workplans for safety initiatives, projects, and activities catering to internal and external requirements
  • Supports the implementation and management of QESH policies and procedures at the site level including compliance with the Corporate QESH’s objectives and expectations, local regulations and other requirements
  • Supports the periodic audit of the Integrated Management Systems
  • Oversees the documentation and compliance of the Company in all ISO matters
  • Supports the incident owner during the incident management and investigation process
  • Conducts ESH Orientation for all employees, workers, contractors and visitors before being allowed to enter the restricted areas of the site or facility
  • Responsible for the timely coordination of all Safety requirements and compliances including staff orientation and qualification trainings
  • Review and evaluate safety operational data and programs including the quality and accuracy of the various safety work processes and system of the Company to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintains certification from Department of Labor and Employment throughout their term of duty
  • Fulfills duties and responsibilities as stated in the Philippines Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards Rule 1030 (as amended), Section 1034.03
  • Performs the duties and responsibilities as Safety Practitioner designated by First Gen

Job Title: Head of Contracts and Risk Management (1)

Qualifications:

Minimum education requirement: Engineering Course or Business Administration Graduate
Ideal education requirement: Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Licensed Lawyer
Professional License:
Minimum work experience:
• Five (5) years’ experience in project implementation in the power industry; and
• Knowledge, skill and experience in managing project contracts

Ideal work experience:
• Five (5) years’ experience in administering full scope operation and maintenance contract, power off-take contract and fuel supply contract for project financed power plants;
• Experience in negotiating operation, maintenance, power off-take or fuel supply contract(s);
• Experience in handling insurance and financing agreements related work; and
• Experience in a multinational environment

Business Function Overview:

  • Ensuring that the provisions of the O&M Contracts and related commercial main contracts are adhered to, and report and resolve compliance and contractual issues.
  • Formulating contract interpretation and obtaining legal review of contract interpretation.
  • Ensuring that the commercial interests of First Gen are protected (e.g. timely adjustment of performance bond amount, safe keeping of financial securities - endorsed to Finance Group, timely settlement of financial obligations).
  • Reviewing correspondences, periodic reports and minutes of meetings, and draft correspondences.
  • Interfacing with Operator's management and other contracting party.
  • Evaluating requests for design changes and additional services and manage budget and payments.
  • Monitoring and resolving EPC warranty and other outstanding issues.
  • Establishing criteria for close out of warranty, punchlist and other outstanding issues, where applicable.
  • Identifying and filing formally warranty claim, punchlist and other outstanding issues, where applicable.
  • Overseeing work of technical consultant and administering service contract of technical consultant.
  • Ensuring required tests or other deliverables at end of contract are completed (e.g. environmental tests).
  • Ensuring compliance with requirements for issuance of contract certificates (e.g. acceptance certificate).
  • Preparing and conducting presentations to insurer underwriters & surveyors.
  • Overseeing annual insurance risk surveys.
  • Reviewing and coordinating evaluation of insurer risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Obtaining approval and managing implementation of justifiable insurer risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Updating insurers and securing closure of insurer risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Reporting insurance related incidents or events, and preparing claims for insurance indemnities, if any, in coordination with the insurance team.

  • Reporting financing agreement issues or potential issues, and resolving such issues in coordination with the Finance Group.
  • Drafting info memo and providing data requested for various financing activities of Finance Group.
  • Leading periodic risk assessment and formulation of risk mitigation measures.
  • Monitoring implementation of approved risk mitigation measures.
  • Developing a pool of risk coordinators.
  • Due diligence review of contractual and commercial proposal.
  • Coordinating legal review and finalization of contract provisions with counsel.
  • Coordinating tax review with Finance / Accounting Group.
  • Negotiating contract provisions.
  • Reviewing support negotiations on and administering consultancy contracts, as required.
  • Managing importation of parts and equipment, and payment.
  • Providing contract review for due diligence on potential asset acquisitions, green field projects and contract renewal / replacement.
  • Drafting proposed contract provisions and securing legal review of proposed contract provisions.
  • Recommending contract provisions to protect the interests of the company.
  • Reviewing support negotiations on and administering consultancy contracts, as required.
  • Participating in the Company's strategic planning process and develop the department’s plans, including budget and manpower requirements.
